Doctors have been dealing with the problem of increasing male dignity for more than a hundred years, and a universal, completely safe and effective method has not yet been invented. There are many products - from creams and sprays to pumps and surgeries - that do not work most of the time or have little effect. In addition, some of them have serious side effects, including erectile dysfunction.
Which penis is considered small?
The average size of a man's dignity is 12, 5‒15 cm in length during erection with a range of 10 to 12 cm. At the same time, at rest, the sizes of different men can vary significantly.
In rare cases, genetic or hormonal problems can lead to a condition called micropenia. Peyronie’s disease (curvature) and prostate cancer surgery can also reduce penis size.
At the same time, studies show that most men who want to have surgery to increase masculinity have an average penis size without deviating from the norm. The main reasons why they are not happy with their size are:
- it seems to them that the length or thickness of the penis is less than the length of most other men;
- it can be difficult to estimate the size of your own genital organ, especially if you do it standing, from top to bottom (being overweight and having a big belly can further impair perception);
- For some men, dissatisfaction is associated with a mental disorder that, according to one study, affects most patients undergoing male enhancement surgery. They are also the least satisfied with the results of the treatment.
How to increase male dignity without surgery?
- Weight loss. There is one safe and effective way to enlarge the penis - losing extra pounds. Urologists note that many men who think they have a small penis are overweight. Losing weight releases the part of the penis that usually hides the abdomen. It doesn't really increase in size, but the organ will look longer.
- Vacuum pump. The penis is placed in a special cylinder from which air is sucked. The vacuum creates blood flow in the penis, making it slightly larger. The organ is then squeezed into a tight tournament-like ring to prevent blood return. The main disadvantage of this method: the effect lasts until the man removes the ring from the bottom of the penis. In addition, using the pump for more than 20-30 minutes can lead to tissue damage. This method is sometimes used to treat erectile dysfunction, but there is no evidence of its effectiveness.
- Exercises. Most exercise cannot increase masculinity. However, the weight attached to the penis (when at rest) can slightly stretch the organ. “You may have to wear a penis-tied weight for eight hours a day for six months, ” experts say. After all, a man is very lucky if his penis size increases by at least 1 centimeter. Risks include rupture of tissues and blood vessels.
- Tablets, supplements, ointments, sprays and creams. Supplements and topical agents usually do not work. “It’s safe to say that all of this is complete nonsense, ” the doctors say.
- Extensions and stretchers. With the help of an extender or stretcher, you can enlarge your penis without resorting to surgery, surgeons say. But for that you will have to wear an extension cord for about a year. This method increases the length of the organ by 4 cm on average.
For those who prefer the surgical method of dieting, liposuction will help you get rid of fat around the penis quickly. However, the effect of this will not last long if the man does not change his eating habits and starts controlling his body weight.
Male Dilation Surgery: Price

The cost of penis extension in clinics depends on the type of surgery. The final amount is also affected by the cost of additional materials (e. g. , prosthesis, extender), the reputation of the clinic, and the experience of the physician.
Surgical methods of lengthening and enlarging the penis have been performed en masse since 1991. However, not enough research has yet been conducted to accurately predict the outcomes and potential risks of the intervention. For example, a study at the Institute of Urology in London showed that only 35% of patients who underwent surgery to improve their manhood were satisfied with the results. Half of those who have undergone the procedure again resort to the services of a surgeon.
An indication for surgery can be considered a penis shorter than 10 cm in an upright position.
How to do penis enlargement surgery
There are two main penis enlargement surgeries.
- Penis lengthening. The name of the operation to increase male dignity is ligamentotomy. The most common method involves cutting the ligament that connects the penis to the pelvis. This allows a small increase in the male penis - on average, no more than 3-5 cm. In reality, this operation does not lengthen the penis, but releases that part of the organ that is usually hidden. To prevent the ligament from growing in the same place, for some time a man will, as a rule, be advised to wear an extender (it is better to use a stretcher immediately after surgery, and connect the extender after 3-5 months).
- Thickening (expansion) of the penis. For men who think their penis is too thin and too small in diameter, organ thickening surgery is recommended. The volume can be increased with the help of implanted patient fat or tissues taken from another part of the patient's body, as well as silicone implants or the introduction of biogels. All procedures must be performed by a qualified professional in a medical institution. It is strictly forbidden to inject any drugs under the skin, including Vaseline, etc. Such experiments lead to penile deformity, suppuration, oleogranuloma and inability to have sex.
Risks associated with the operation
Before taking a loan for male augmentation surgery, doctors advise to consider the possible risks. The most common side effects of prolongation are:
- onset of infection,
- nerve damage,
- desensitization,
- erectile dysfunction,
- scars.
Increasing the thickness of the penis can lead to irregularities on the surface of the organs, changes in shape, rejection of inserted or transplanted materials and tissues, and sometimes even death.
